Environmental Ethic of Local Regions

In this week’s reading assignment, the authors link Norway to an environmental ethic that they label “deep ecology.” Utilizing the same type of analysis, summarize the environmental ethic that your region,MESA ARIZONA exemplifies. You do not need to label your region’s ethic with a particular term, but you must describe the ethic of that region. You might use words such as deep ecology, conservation, preservation, exploitation, dominate, harmony, to define the ethic. The following paper should utilize at least four scholarly resources to address each of the topic listed below:

1. Summarize the general environmental ethic of your region.
2. Do you agree with this ethic or do you believe that it should change.
3. How can citizens, governmental agencies, private corporations, etc. change this environmental ethic?

Your paper should include an introduction with a developed thesis statement to set up the paper, as well as a concluding paragraph that sums up your discussion. Additionally, your assignment must be two to four double-spaced pages in length (excluding the title and reference page) and be formatted according to APA (6th ed.) style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center. You must use at least four scholarly resources to provide sufficient detail of the topics listed above. Cite your resources in text and on the reference page.
