Environmental Documents and Processing

As you have read in your text this week, there are three thresholds of environmental processing and documentation; Categorical Exclusion (CE), Environmental Assessment/Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI), and Draft and Final Environmental Impact Statements (DEIS and FEIS). In a brief paper, describe the differences between these three different thresholds of environmental processing and documentation. Additionally, provide at least one example of when it would necessary to utilize a CE, an EA/FONSI, and a DEIS or FEIS. These examples can be from real situations where the threshold was utilized or hypothetical situations where the threshold would be appropriate. For each example, briefly discuss why this threshold was used over the other two.

Your paper should include a short introduction with a developed thesis statement to set up the paper, as well as a short concluding paragraph that sums up your discussion. Additionally, your assignment must be at least two double-spaced pages in length (excluding the title and reference page) and be formatted according to APA style
