AmblerchickI need to provide an essay for entrance in to a psychiatric nurse practitioner program.
Written in narrative format and addresses each of the following:
- Why you chose your intended MSN track - It has been my goal since starting nursing school. I love the field of psychiatry. I want to achieve my goals
- How this academic program will help you meet your career goals
- Where you see your career 5 years post-graduation - Hopefully, in my own practice helping patients with their mental and behavioral health issues. I also would like to specialize in forensic psychiatry.
- Additional relevant information that may assist the Committee in the overall evaluation of your application - I am currently a mental health nurse in corrections. I love the field. I love helping people. I have a great ability to make people at ease and open up. I am compassionate, empathetic and caring
This statement should be 500 – 750 words in length and demonstrate evidence of strong written communication skills.
