Hello Class,

The final project packet will be due on the day of the final exam.  The final project presentation will be held, however, on May 7th.  The presentation must be 7-10 minutes and must include what design your group worked on. Introduce your part and all the different components that were created or reverse engineered.  Describe any challenges encountered during the project, and what was done to overcome them.  Research and place into your presentation what kind of manufacturing processes will be needed to create your assembly (ie, milling, casting, lathe etc). A hard copy of the presentation must be turned in once called to present.

The report needs to include a description of everything that was covered in the Power Point presentation.  The report length is not specific other than that the report should not exceed 10 pages of content (title pages/table of contents/appendix is excluded).  Do keep in mind that the grade of the report will be determined based on detail rather than page length. A hard copy must be turned in on the day of the final.

Additionally, every student in Mse 248 is required to fill out peer evaluation forms on the day of the final exam and turned in.  This is to ensure that everyone in their respected groups equally share workload and responsibilities. Take these evaluations seriously, since they will be used for the final project grade.

SolidWorks Drawing Files must be printed out in Letter size B or 11x17 and turned in with the report on the day of the final exam.

The final project packet, that will be due the day of the final exam via moodle, must include the following in a folder:

-Presentation Slides

-Report

-Solidworks ZIP(compressed) folder including

     -Solidworks Part files

     -Solidworks Assembly file(s)

     -Solidworks Drawing file(s)

Follow everything as instructed to avoid losing point. Don't forget to print out the listed hard copies.

Remember to also keep your portfolio updated, since it will account for 5% of your course grade.
