English Writing PT1
Overview
The ability to write is the ability to express yourself clearly and effectively. Writing is a vital skill that will always be important in both your work and your personal life, and the paragraph is the building block of good writing. Once you master the paragraph structure, you will be able to construct longer pieces of writing with confidence.
Directions
Your boss has sent out an email to all employees asking for feedback on workflow. In one paragraph, answer the following question from your boss's email: “What is your ideal workday?” Before you start writing, be sure to read through all the Project resources. To ensure clarity, begin your paragraph with a topic sentence that states and explains your position. (“My ideal workday would include. . .”) The rest of the paragraph should develop your main idea with supporting details or examples and should end with a conclusion. You are free to take any position on the topic. You are not required to do any research to write your paragraph, but you may incorporate outside sources if you think they support your position. Of course, you should proofread your work to correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation or mechanics before you submit it.
