Write a two-page double-spaced essay in response to the performance of A  response paper can be less formal than most analytical papers.  

  Option one: choose a particular scene or scenes and talk about how decisions that the theatre company made—such as where the actors stood, what they wore, how they spoke their lines, or what props they used—made the scene more than it is in the script alone.   You could discuss the scene that we workshopped in class about the acting company rehearsing, or choose from the opening scenes: that is, how Theseus’s beginning lines to Hippolyta, Hermia’s disagreement with her father, or Helena’s jealousy of Hermia and love for Demetrius were portrayed.  Or, you could comment on some of the fairy scenes,  how the quarrel in the woods was acted, or how Hippolyta acts at the beginning vs how she appears at the end.  Or, choose some other scene or scenes.
