I need to create a text of your own, through short writing or otherwise creative compositions, that express your philosophy on the nature of life, or on morality, justice or human nature. The intention of this work is to promote this message for a particular audience. This assignment has two components: 1. Original Artifact. The artifacts can be more creative things: Short stories (fiction or nonfiction) Poetry Illustration/Painting Comic Book/Strip Musical Composition Or Song Lyrics A modern myth/folktale A short film?!? The artifacts can be more straightforward things: Letters to political/business figures Pamphlets Articles/Essays 2. Artist Statement. Every portfolio must include a 1 ½ to 2 page explanation that explains what your philosophy is and specifically how the piece is an expression of it. You also need to answer questions about your works relationship to its intended audience. Who is the work’s intended audience? Why is this audience your choice for this particular message? How has the work been designed to convince/challenge this particular audience?
