  Dear Class,

  Please download the PDF attachment. It is your assignment. The first page is an overview, sharing with you how college students at your level are taught. The second page is the actual assignment, including due dates. 
  
  By Monday, you need to collect your sources, make notes on index cards, and complete the rhetorical prospectus, which is a series of questions. Please type all your work. 
  
  After Monday, you will start writing the essay. Before then, you have to think, research, and understand what you are doing. The rhetorical prospectus is one way to help you understand why you are doing what you are doing. If you have questions, let me know. 
  
  The rhetorical prospectus will be attached separately, FYI.
