Paper 2 is my Literature Mega Theme assignment.  Your first job is to look at the introduction you wrote for paper 1 and double check the theme of the story you discussed.  You need to choose a poem we read in class with the same theme as your paper 1.  Then, pick another piece of literature with the same theme (this piece of literature can be another short story, a poem, a play, a tv show, or a movie.  The only requirement is that it is not non-fiction).  You are going to write about how the poem and other literature piece successfully discuss the theme and add this discussion to paper 1, which will then be resubmitted. The following list will break down how paper 1 changes:

Added to paper 1's introduction--discuss which poem you chose and which other piece of literature you chose

Added to paper 1's thesis--the poem and other piece of literature

Added to paper 1's body--a new section discussing why the poem you chose works well using quotes.  A new section discussing why the other piece of literature you chose works well using quotes

Added to paper 1's conclusion--the points you made about the poem and other piece of literature in the body

Added to paper 1--a works cited page in MLA format

The paper should be around 6-7 pages now, with 3-4 already being written and 3 new pages.  Typed and double spaced, formatted in MLA.  Title page is optional.  Please DO NO SUMMARIZE the poem or other piece of literature.  Paper will be graded on unity, coherency, cohesion, grammar, and depth of content.
