ENGLISH ACADEMIC WRITING I

If you could have the superhero power of invisibility or flying, which would you choose? No one else on earth has superhero powers, and you’d have only the one. State your choice explicitly and then explain why it’s your choice.

As you consider your choice, think about the following: What is the purpose of your chosen superpower? How would this superpower allow you to accomplish your purpose as a superhero? What assumptions do you have about being a superhero and your chosen superpower? What does your desire to be invisible or fly say about you? What are some specific goals you could accomplish with your superpower? What values inform your decision?

There is no correct answer here. Your response should be no less than 350 words and demonstrate critical thinking in how you reached your conclusion with specific support. This assignment is part of Saint Leo University’s QEP, and will be collected as part of a university-wide effort to study critical thinking. Because this assignment is a bit different, you will also submit your final draft to the Dropbox.
