Choose a poem to analyze that is at least 10 lines long. The poem should have been written between 1950 and present. A list of contemporary poets can be found here http://famouspoetsandpoems.com/poets_contemporary.html . Your poem should show the use of at least three different poetic devices.
Choose a different color to label each of the three poetic devices in the poem you have chosen. Please type the device next to the line. Use the following list of poetic devices to choose from:
- Personification
- Allusion
- Simile
- Metaphor
- Alliteration/Assonance
- Allusion
- Repetition
- Hyperbole
- Write out rhyme scheme (i.e. AABBCCDD...)
- Imagery (Choose one)
