The purpose of this discussion is for you to reflect on your experiences with on-the-job training. Figure 1.3 in your text lists the percentages of companies providing various types of training and it might be helpful to examine this first to help you recall the types of training you have had in your jobs. However, you may also describe training you have received that is not part of this list.

• a. Describe the training courses you have taken at work.
• b. Describe how the training helped you on the job and provide recommendations for improving the training courses.

If you have never had on-the-job training before you may, instead, select a type of training you would be interested in receiving and describe the ideal characteristics of such a training session.
