In “The Bull Passes Through,” Kevin Chroust asserts, “and I still can’t tell if I’m doing this as one last adventure before I make a serious attempt at settling down or if I’m doing this because this is what I’m turning into: a true model of self-destruction,” before running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain (4).  Using the entire essay, analyze whether or not his participation in the running of the bulls is a reasonable catalyst for personal growth and maturity.  Keep in mind, at the end of the text, Chroust mentions a feeling, but he does not define it… how does the conclusion influence how we interpret the outcome of this dangerous activity?
