Research Proposal

Due Date: You must upload the proposal to Canvas by midnight on Monday, April 11.

Format: 12-point type; Times New Roman (or equivalent); double-spaced; MLA citations

Length: 300-500 words

Assignment: You must compose an overview of the final project that indicates the specific problem you are addressing, the general contours of the problem (causes and effects), and a brief survey of the possible solution(s). The overview should give a clear indication that you have a grasp of the general social context of the problem and a working knowledge of the research being done in the field.

This overview is not meant to be comprehensive, but it must persuade me that you have a working outline for the final project.

Things I will be looking for:

—Coherent and cohesive paragraphs.

—Concise sentences free from grammar and punctuation errors.

—Logical transitions between paragraphs.

—Accurate interpretation and incorporation of source texts.
