Employees' Right to Privacy in the Workplace

  • This essay must be your own work! Aside from assistance at one of the campus writing labs, you may NOT get aid in composing/editing your essay. If your voice suddenly changes on this essay, you will fail the course. No exceptions.
  • REFER TO THE RUBRIC FOR THE GRADING SCALE!
  • Length: 3-4 pages (not counting Works Cited page)
  • Sources: At least two sources must be utilized and cited in your essay.
  • MLA format required (and this includes the Works Cited page)
  • Must have an interesting title, not a DBOT (Dull, Boring Old Title)
  • Research FIRST. Discover what others are saying about the topic you chose.
  • Your research must include what the opposition would say (need at least two sources)
  • You may (and should!) begin with a backstory (narrative) about your argument (this can be added after you've outlined the points you wish to make).
  • You must state what the argument is.
  • You must state, briefly, your position.
  • You must discuss the opposition’s position.
  • Then, you argue, point-by-point, the opposition.
  • Give examples.
  • Give details (remember RENNS!).
