Effects of Philosophy upon Teaching

As a leader in curriculum, how do you define curriculum and what do you need to identify at your educational institution so that you can ensure curriculum decisions align with the overall philosophy, mission, and vision of your educational institution? What traditional and contemporary philosophies affect your educational community? How important is this philosophy to developing curriculum and how does it shape various aspects of curriculum? Are there certain trends in the history of your educational institution that have influenced curricular development?
