See Phillips Curve in the index of your textbook or use an online resource to acquire a basic understanding of the concept. Type “Phillips Curve” into youtube.com: The 2^nd-4^th videos are useful.

Acquire the Unemployment figures for each quarter of the last ten years.

Acquire Inflation figures for the same period. These will be monthly and will need to be adjusted to quarterly. Using three months of data and dividing by 3 to get a quarterly average is fine for this assignment.

Enter those figures in EXCEL and complete a simple line graph to illustrate your own created “Phillips Curve.” 

Report your findings in a written document that includes your results in tabular form and via diagram, which has been created using EXCEL.

Comment and compare your results to the Phillips curve expectations.
