The World Health Organization is an organization that sets norms and standards for international public health.  They put the standards in place and also monitor them.  They provide leadership and partner worldwide in health areas such as communicable diseases, ageing, and nutrition, to name a few.  The Center for Disease Control is a federal agency that is dedicated to protect health and prevent and control disease.  It is concerned with occupational safety and health.  They focus on developing disease prevention and control infectious diseases, environmental health, and occupational safety and health.

 I am glad that the WHO and the CDC is involved so much with our health. It makes me feel better knowing that someone is watching my health all the time and making sure that the medicine and vaccines that we get are up to date and do the job they are supposed to do.
