Before doing this assignment, be sure you are familiar with the General Instructions for Written Assignments found in the Course Information Module.

For this assignment, you will write a 300-word essay on the topic of your choice from the textbook readings. There's quite a variety of topics to choose from, but it must be from the textbook reading for Module 8 (pages 193-216).

You must use at least one source of information other than the textbook in your essay. Be sure to provide a bibliography entry for that source after your essay (along with any other sources you use!)

Like most written assignments, this must be submitted as a PDF file.

Grading

Your assignment must be 300 words. If it less, the maximum points you can receive will be as follows:

• If between 250 and 299 words, the maximum score will be 80 points.
• If between 200 and 249 words, the maximum score will be 60 points.
• If between 150 and 199 words, the maximum score will be 40 points.
• No credit will be given if your essay is less than 150 words.

You must use at least one source other than the textbook for your essay, and you must provide a citation for the source. If there's no other source identified, 30 points will be deducted.

This assignment will be graded strictly regarding typos and grammatical usage errors. You get one free error, but each one after that will cost 4 points. Spellcheck and proofread!
