It systems are great for companies and less time consuming versus doing everything without the use of technology. The transaction system is the most important to me, because without something to keep exact track of how the business is progressing and to record sales daily it'll be tough to keep up with the progress of the company and with that lets you know if one need to keep going in the same direction or start a new path with their business. I like the idea of having an idea, meaning its so much technology in the world if one has a problem all one will have to do is think of a solution and how to brand that within technology. Like on line school for an example, it helps me work any shift ask by any job because I know when I work those 8 to 12 hours I'll have 12 to 16 hours left to do my homework versus if I had to physically be in a classroom I'll have to compromise with a job about fitting my school schedule and not every job is going to be lenient. I love it because I get to work in the present knowing my future going to be bright because of what I did in the past.
2:I like that you brought up the newspaper and how in most places it is almost obsolete. However, I recently took a trip to New York City during Christmas and was surprised to see how many people still pick up a newspaper in the mornings. Especially with New York being one of the most advanced states in the US, when it comes to technology. A few years ago I heard this theory about the newspaper business pretty much disappearing by the year 2020 because you can find the latest news on your phone or tablet within seconds of waking up. Does anyone else have an opinion on this theory? I would be interested in what everyone thinks of that!
3:Companies rely on computers, software, and communication capabilities to operate and , manage basic business problems and tasks. IT infrastructure provides support for these basic needs in addition to storage, input, and output technology. Businesses have the ability to stay connected, gather information quickly, and process data to make important decisions through IT systems. A rolladex and typewriters at some point were considered cutting edge. Mobile devices, cloud computing, and computers have proven why IT systems have become a requirement for businesses to stay competitive. The ongoing advances in technology not only help improve a company's productivity, but can have a positive impact on the company's bottom line. Chapter 4 IT Infrastructure Hardware and Software talks about the benefits of Web hosting and outsourcing IT infrastructures when considering the total cost of ownership. As business processes change, the IT systems supporting them must be in place to help the business keep it's competitive advantages. Because It systems capture, process, extract, and output data, once the system is implemented it becomes a requirement to maintain these processes. It is equally important to manage the architecture of the IT system to maintain competitiveness.
