1: Usability is a website design term that describes how easy and appealing a website is to visitors. Good usability requires that the website is easy to navigate, has an attractive layout, and is useful to the visitors. Usability is an important part in the design and development of a good website. In today's society the web has become a tool for information retrieval, and it can be difficult sometimes to find information, which is another reason why usability is important.  An unattractive or poorly built site will do more to hurt your business than to help it. A site must be visually appealing, polished and professional. An attractive site is far more likely to generate a positive impression and keep visitors on your site once they arrive. A simple way to increase visual appeal is to use high quality photography. Graphics are important, as they lend visual variety and appeal to an otherwise boring page of text.

3:CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets, and it describes how HTML elements are able to be displayed on screen, and in other media. CSS is the key to web design, because it controls the color, layout, font and decorations. It's designed to make life easier for designers. Any website that use CSS is unique because it's their own creation. I think Google use CSS to enhance their website appearance, because of the different colors they use, and the type of font they use.

4: Firewalls prevent outside activity and monitor incoming and outgoing activity to ensure unwanted "guests" or tag-a-longs do not gain access to the network. Windows has its own firewall that can be configured to the user's needs. Norton also has a firewall that helps secure the network. It is very important to maintain security on any network (including LAN) to monitor threats, take care of any virus that may be threatening or damaging the network, and to make sure that only the approved users have access to the network. The use of firewalls does help prevent attacks from malware programs and bugs or viruses. Personally I use Norton because I feel it is more secure than the free versions such as Ad aware and AVG. Of course that is just my opinion based off of my experiences. My father in law uses the free versions of anti virus protections and firewalls and has had a lot of troubles with viruses attacking his computers. He also uses a LAN and it seems when his laptop gets attacked, so does the other computers and laptops linked to the network.
