1: JPEG, PNG and GIF are the most commonly compressed image file types. JPEG is a type of image compression that works best with photographs and it removes nonhuman visible colors from images to decrease the file size. For example, use JPEG for human portraits where color variances are important. GIF reduce the number of colors in a image to 256 from thousand of colors that maybe coming from the camera. GIF can be used for limited color images, for example logos and graphs or images where transparency is important. PNG was created as an alternative to the GIF file format. PNG allow 5 to 25 percent greater compression than GIFs. PNGS are used for images involving charts and detailed illustrations.

4:SNMP is made up of two basic components. These components are the managed resource and the management information base. The managed resource is obviously the resource that the SNMP is monitoring. The SNMP allows information to be exchanged on the management of a specific resource and to use that information for whatever purpose it can best be used for. The second component is the management information base which is where all the managed resources are being stored. The benefits of SNMP are having many resources properly managed in one area and being able to use the information gleaned from this to make it easier to get things done. UDP was chosen over TCP in this case because it works better in congested networks. In these congested networks, UDP will get the data to its destination eventually, but TCP will usually fail in these cases.
5:SNMP is a protocol for network management. What are the basic components of SNMP? What are the benefits of the functions provided by SNMP? SNMP uses the UDP protocol for transport. Why was UDP chosen over TCP?
6:There are many DNS servers, and each one has a certain amount of IP addresses that connect to a specific domain name. When you type a domain name into the address bar of your web browser, your computer takes that domain name and searches through the DNS servers in order to find the IP address that connects to the domain name you inputted. There is the possibility of many domain names being connected to the same IP address I believe, but it does not work the other way around. Many IP addresses can not be connected to a single domain name. If you were to type the IP address into your web browser's address bar, you could get to the website just fine, but IP addresses change for some websites, and it is harder to remember which is why it is not usually done.
