Post an outline of your argument. It may help to pretend you are going to give a speech on your essay. What would the main points of your speech be? That's an outline. Be specific, not vague. For example, don't write, "I will first introduce my thesis"; rather, write out what you plan your thesis to be.

You do not have to stick to the outline you write here when you turn in your final essay, but the process of composing an outline may help you organize your thoughts. You may find that some students' outlines are structured differently than yours, or perhaps more fine-tuned than yours. That's okay. This discussion board is meant to get you organizing your thoughts and helping your fellow classmates organize theirs.
