Respond to Discussion Question 3 at the end of chapter 5 in Essentials of Management and Leadership in Public Health.

Here is the question:

Community building can be particularly effective as a prophylactic mechanism to reduce future conflict in
an organization. Although managers may derisively characterize this activity as nothing more than “group
hugs,” it does create pathways to reinforce the mission and values of an organization. If you are the manager
of a community health center in a high-need urban community, how could you use community building
as a way to combat the inevitable sense of futility and burn-out faced by employees in that environment?
What specific activities would you develop to maintain the “community” among workers in a community
health center?
