Another big difference when it comes to routers is commercial routers versus standardized personal use routers. When it comes to routers you or I would use you get ease of access features, a nice button to sync up your wifi potentially, easy configs that are easy to access and change, and even potentially usb hookups for easy access to printers or other devices. When it comes to commercial routers its more about security versus convenience. You won't see any extra ports (usb) for a commercial router or an easy wifi button anywhere on it. The configurations will be more bare bones to edit with harder to get into and less convenient focusing more on actually code based changes versus an interface you can probably access via a browser.

2:Yes you never know what will happen on the technical side or just as far as life, you may be pulled away to do something else and forget about it for a minute and someone else hop on your device or something to that effect. Whether I am working in a switch or router or just working in a Microsoft word file for a bit of time saving is key as we have all been there when you dump a bunch of work into something just to have an error happen or something happens which causes you to lose your unsaved work. Knowing the base commands and how to get help within the system definitely is very important when it comes to working with switches and routers.

3:Right. Ensuring we are on the correct interface is one component in ensuring that the switch settings will allow it to communicate with other devices. There are lots of little checks we need to remember to have communication established.

What must devices be able to do (according to the port) in order to communicate with one another?
