1: In the absence of Ethernet in the early 90s, computers made use of serial and parallel interfaces for networking purposes. Null modem cables were used to connect PC serial ports for data transfer purposes.
How has the USB bettered the Null modem cable?
2: The reason USB is better because it loads a lot faster than a modem cable and your able to link different things up to the other end. Then you are able to retrieve data and store data as well. The USB has become more popular because its easier to carry around and it is convenient for other reasons as well. I mean I use a USB to backup all of my pictures and files in case my computer decides to crash on me
3:Connecting peripherals to computers have really come a long way as far as external peripheral connections go for computers. Like you said, USB has evolved from just being able to transfer data but also connect keyboards and mice to your computer as well. The ability for USB to become wireless has enabled us to make computing a little more easier with a few less wires. USB-OTG (USB-On The Go) has also allowed us to have more portability since it allowed two peripheral devices to communicate with each other. For example, I use my smart phone to connect to a USB thumb drive to transfer files. Or I can connect a smart phone to a printer to print documents and pictures. I have even used USB-OTG to connect my digital camera directly to my smart phone to transfer pictures and email them to people. USB allows more flexibility that the older pin style cables we used to have.

If a line has no Y-intercept, the slope is undefined while a line with no X-intercept has a slope of 0. Completely vertical versus flat. Y=1 has a 0 slope and X=1 is undefined. 0/1 = zero and 1/0= undefined. Project analysis may not have an x or y intercept depending on the origin point. The least squares model could use data with non-zero starting point and always progress.
Some parabolas may not have x or y intercepts as well.

6x+3y=18
To find the x intercept set=0
By substitute the variable y with a 0 6x+3(0) =18
After multiplying 3*0 then add 0 to both sides which gives you 6x=18
Divide both sides 6x *6= 18*6 x=3
Repeat the same step to get y 6(0) +3y=18
y=6 (3,6)
6: Have you researched more about finding intercepts for linear equations? I somewhat understand how to find the intercepts, but it will take more research for me to completely understand. I think by using a graph it makes it a little easier to sole the problem because it shows us the exact location where it intercepts. I have seen several examples of this on different websites,but some are very difficult to understand. Any thoughts? What are some ways you have tried to help you understand intercepts when solving an equation? I just watched a video in Kahn Academy with a specific formula to use when finding intercepts of linear equations, but not sure it is the right one. I will have to research more. Thanks for sharing your post.
