"Physical Security Controls"

• Imagine you are in charge of designing physical security controls for your employer, which operates out of a multitenant office building. Discuss the top-three physical security controls that you believe need to be implemented in order to secure the physical perimeter of the office space. Justify the importance of each.

• Explain the physical security controls that you would consider implementing in a multi-tenant office space that you otherwise would not in a stand-alone, dedicated office space. Justify your response.

"Defense in Depth"

• Examine the purpose of defense in depth, and determine why this is widely considered a best practice for securing a company’s assets and physical and logical barriers. Determine whether or not you believe the implementation of defense in depth is the same in the enterprise as it is for small and medium-sized businesses.

• From the e-Activity (listed below), discuss whether or not you believe the defense-in-depth principle is past its prime and if there needs to be a new way of thinking. Indicate whether or not you believe the ever-growing costs in defense in depth make it prohibitive for companies to keep up with the ever-growing threat. Provide a rationale with your response.
