Discussion Question

In the federal and state court system, a defendant can theoretically appeal his conviction from the trial court all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States. Do you think our current appellate process allows for too many appeals, too few appeals, or is the appellate system just right? Provide specific examples to support your answer.
