Should the Keystone XL Pipeline be Approved?

According to TransCanada corporation, the KXL pipeline carrying tar sands oil to Texas refineries will provide the US with a reliable source of oil, will produce many jobs, and will add a substantial amount of value to the US economy. Take a look at TransCanada's web site and see what you think.

Along with numerous other groups, Friends of the Earth think the KXL pipeline would be an environmental and ecological disaster, frought with risks to endangered species, uncertainty regarding spills and contamination, global warming, etc. Check out their concerns in the accompanying short article.
