Discussion Assignment – New in Town

Put yourself in the role of someone from another country that moves to the United States, and is in need of a car. Let's assume you have a fairly good knowledge of English, but you have no one to help you negotiate a deal. 

What do you think the most difficult aspect of the negotiation would be for you? Are there certain tactics used by negotiators that someone from another culture may find confusing or difficult to understand? How do you think the American way of negotiating as outlined in your text might affect you if you were from another country?
