Read Difficult Conversations, by Stone, Patton, Heen, and Fisher -- p. 1-23.

How does “the left-hand column exercise” facilitate awareness of mental models? Create a left-hand column that represents a conversation you held with your supervisor.

In your initial post, share with your group the mental models that mediated your communication as an attachment to the post.  In the body of the post, discuss how your assumptions guided you or misguided you.  If you were to repeat the conversations, would different assumptions guide your communication?
