Exponential Growth

Find an article from a magazine or newspaper that mentions exponential growth or decay. You may look on the Internet, or in any newspaper, magazine, or trade journal. You may not use an example from any math textbook or any website designed to explain math.  I want to see real-life exponential growth or decay! 

In your post, you should include:

1. A copy of the article with complete source information. Clearly identify the part of the article that mentions the rate of change. <-- Revised instructions: Please attach this instead of pasting directly into the post. (Highlight the parts of the article that mentions rate of change)

2. Write sentence or two describing the situation.  Which is it, growth or decay?  How do you know it's exponential?

3. Did the authors include a formula, or did they include enough information for you to write a formula?  (You are not required to write the formula.)
