a. Is it possible for a psychologically well adjusted person to develop PTSD in the face of a traumatic event, or should a mentally healthy person be expected to cope well with even extraordinary stressors without developing symptoms of a disorder? (Keep in mind that not everyone develops  this disorder in the face of trauma.) (15pts.)

b. Since there is evidence that there are brain changes in PTSD, should treatment be biological rather than psychological? Why or why not? (5pts)

Extra Credit: Might some  positive social change in the US result in fewer individuals developing PTSD? Explain your position.
