Is a Spellchecker a Student’s Best Friend?
Students rely heavily on spellchecker functions offered by software programs. However, many have found that their over-reliance on the spellchecker function has resulted in incorrect words being inserted into their documents. This has been called the Cupertino effect.
Think of another technology that we rely on too heavily and the negative consequences (realized or potential) of our over-reliance.
