How is professional competence determined?  Who decides the standards of professionism? Discuss your state's(Texas) expectations of school counselor professionalism.  Discuss the professional expectations of a mental health counselor. Is there a difference?  If the expectation of school counselors and mental health counselors are different, tell how and why the expectations are different.

Discussion 2

Is there a danger in divulging too much about a client if you consult another person about a client?  Who are possible consultants for mental health counselor and for school counselors?
