The following problems are to be written up in polished form, showing all relevant work. I'm big on partial credit so I need to see what you're doing. Be sure to use correct notation and clearly convey your ideas.

Please copy the answers you get from Minitab into the Word Document you submit for grading. “Polished form” means that you are properly labeling your final answers (e.g., for Question #1a, your answer should read something like, “The mean of the cookie weights is X ounces and the median is Y ounces.”
Cut-and-paste Minitab output is acceptable and strongly encouraged as a final answer for graphs and tables. It is NEVER acceptable as a final answer when you are asked to give specific statistics - although you would want to include it as part of the supporting work).

In 1990, 5.8% of job applicants who were tested for drugs failed the test.
A random sample of 1440 current job applicants results in 61 failures (based loosely on data from the American Management Association).
At the α = 0.01 significance level, test the below claim (i.e., that the failure rate is now lower)
