Cultural Competence in Health Care

Lead-in: According to the Office of Health and Human Services, (n.d). cultural competence is a major part of closing the disparities gap in healthcare.  This concept considers the way patients and healthcare professionals interact and talk about health concerns without having cultural differences hinder the conversation. This week’s assignment focuses on researching cultural competence and its impact on healthcare.
