critical essay

Homework for Tuesday:

• Submit to me a copy of what you have completed so far for Essay 2. That would include whatever you've written so far, copies of links to sources, notes you've taken etc. Also, If you've completed the reading please write note that on what you submit to me. Please make sure its a copy and you don't give me your originals because you will not receive these items back until the following week.

Just wanted to remind everyone about Essay 2:

• Essay 2 is due Tuesday,.
• MLA format (Will pass out another handout about the MLA format on Tuesday). 
• It's out of 12 points (not 10)
• You need to read the first 3 chapters of Mindset. Page 62 is where the start touching upon Nature vs Nurture. You must cite Mindset as one of your sources!
• You must see a tutor or submit it to SmartThinking. From what I understand SmartThinking can take 4 or 5 days to return your paper, so keep that in mind. If you are having issues with SmartThinking you need to let me know ASAP!
• You must provide me the notes/rough draft from the tutor. So you know, the final paper you submit shouldn't be the same draft you sent to the tutor, edits should be made.
• If we are able to do a good job (In class, with homework and Quiz) on Tuesday (October 20th), I will assign Thursday as a free study period. That way you can go to the Library, Learning Center or use the computers in class to finish typing your final drafts. I will not be available during class time that day but you can reach out to me for help between now and Monday the 26th. Late assignments will be accepted with 1 point deduction for each day its late. You received an extra week to work on this essay, so being sick the day it's due or your printer not working etc. will not be a possible excuse for not completing it on time. 
• Please reference the Critical Thinking Essay handout I gave you in class for other requirements.
