Choose one of the following scenarios and imagine you have been asked to respond to the crisis with some form of intervention. For your chosen scenario:

1. Identify all of the people who may be impacted by this crisis, whether directly or indirectly.
2. Indicate how and why you think they may be impacted.
3. Explain the need for response/counseling services and categorize each identified person as a 1, 2, or 3 (1 = highest priority, 2 = as soon as possible, 3 = when you are able).
4. Of all the potentially impacted people, with whom would you feel most and least comfortable working? Provide your rationale.

Scenario 1

Judy, a high school sophomore, has been found lying on the floor of a restroom at school. She has significant cuts on her wrists and is bleeding. A teacher was alerted by the girl who found Judy. The teacher called 911, and the ambulance arrived and took Judy to the hospital.

Scenario 2

A student was driving to school and was involved in a car accident, in which he was killed, two blocks from the school. He was a popular athlete and honors student.
