Computer based training tools are digital methods of storing, delivering and interacting with the users. Different types of tools that are used for CBT include any form of electronic media such as CDs, audio/video tapes and multimedia tools via the web such as videos or animations.

According to this week's lecture, "The use of any visual elements needs to be closely aligned to the learning objectives; irrelevant videos, photos, animations, and so on, add no value and could cause the student to tune out of the learning."
