During this module, you will complete the Course Project, a snapshot of child development programs in your community. By Sunday of Week 10, submit the completed 6- to 9- page report, which should include the following sections:

1. Demand (2–3 pages) 
   • How would you describe and characterize the demand for child development programs in your community? Use statistics as necessary.
   • What types of child development programs currently exist in your community?
   • How are child development programs currently funded in your community?
2. Theory (2–3 pages) 
   • What are the theoretical bases for (at least two) different types of child development programs in your community?
   • How do/might practical issues compromise these theoretical bases? How are/might these compromises be addressed or accounted for in the management of the program?
3. Gaps (2–3 pages)
   • What gaps do you observe between need and/or demand for child development programs and the existing programs in your community? For example, is there a high demand for remedial or compensatory services, but few existing programs? Is there a high demand for programs in poverty-stricken neighborhoods, or for high-end academy programs, but a lack of centers responding to these needs? Where is demand met, and where is more support needed?
