Cover letter reflection

The basic requirements of this reflection are the same as the Project 1 reflection; however, the assignment is a little different. After you complete your final draft of Project 2, you will write a 300 word (approximately), Writer’s Reflection in which you respond to the 3 questions below. Be sure to illustrate your points with specific examples and details related to your cover letter and goodwill. While quotes are not required, if including a quote will help you to more clearly illustrate your point, please do so. Be sure to include the idea of goodwill (or making your reader feel good) in each answer.

Please answer each question in a separate paragraph.

1. Provide a specific example of something you wrote in an effort to present yourself as a likeable person who has a specific interest in the company/organization—someone the hiring manager would feel good about bringing in for an interview and, potentially, working with.

2. Consider how you developed one of your qualifications/skills/experiences in a body paragraph to effectively “sell yourself."  What specific decisions did you make as a writer to convince the reader that you have a specific skill and, therefore, feel good about you?

3. Given the one page limitation of a cover letter and the fact that your reader will be spending only a few moments reading it, provide a specific example of how you made an effort to be concise and, consequently, save the reader time and feel good about your letter.

In addition to a 300 word response to the questions above, the reflection also offers you the opportunity to point out or explain anything in your final draft that you want me to know before I read and grade the project. You will submit a printed reflection with your final draft.
