FIRST: Yesterday Associated Press reported from Detroit that: "A federal judge ruled Wednesday that a 2009 bankruptcy order shields General Motors from billions of dollars in death and injury claims tied to defective ignition switches in older small cars. But Judge Robert Gerber in New York, who handled GM's government-funded bankruptcy case six years ago also ruled that plaintiffs who claim a loss in the value of their cars can still sue General Motors Co., but only for company actions that happened after it left bankruptcy in July of 2009."

(b.)  Make sure one of the readings contains a good summary of the issues surrounding deaths and injuries (particularly those of children).

(c.)  Identify what you believe to be the top compelling issues.

(d.)  Then write a Pros-vs.-Cons essay on a few of the ethical issues you see them. 

(e.)  Be sure you have separate (i.) your Professional pros-&-cons from (ii.) your own Personal Preference pros-&-cons.

The New York Times reported his morning the following: "The antitrust case against Google filed by European Union regulators on Wednesday will inevitably draw comparisons to the long-running prosecution of Microsoft in which regulators on both sides of the Atlantic pursued the software giant for anticompetitive behavior. The tech marketplace is fluid and unpredictable. The giants that look most unbeatable today could falter in ways that may once have seemed unthinkable--and without a lot of help from the government."
