  5. below is abit of what the course entails;

the course examines the various theories of contract law, the history and development of modern contract law, and the requirements of contracts for to be legally enforceable. the course will include a study of contracts from formation through execution or where there is a breach, through resolution and remedy. different forms and subjects of contracts will be considered, including oral and written contracts, 3rd party beneficiary contracts, and contracts governed by the uniform commercial code. also included will be discussion of issues which affect performance of contracts, such as assignment and delegation, excuse of conditions, promissory estoppels, repudiation, and specific rules such as the perol evidence rule, and statute of frauds.

the objectives the course are;

1.      to understand how contracts are formed, and the theories associated with contracts law.

2.      to understand the different types of contracts, and issues which affect the ability to enforce the various types of contracts.

3.      to master the terminology of contract law

4.      to know the elements of contracts and the rules of law which govern contracts, including the uniform commercial code

5.      to be able to analyze real and hypothetical situations through application of knowledge of contracts and contract law principles.
