7. Extra credit. The archaeologists document their findings in a research article and submit it to a respected scientific journal. However, the article reviewers are critical of the field approach taken. In particular, they would like to see the confidence interval shrink to 100,000 shells (or less). The reviewers also insist that the confidence level cannot be relaxed below 90%, to maintain the standards of the journal.

Assuming that the archaeologists conduct a two-stage sampling campaign, how many more sample grids will be required to meet the demands of the journal? (+4 pts.)
