Could you clarify exactly what is it that your skill is measuring? You mentioned in your post that it measures studying but what do you mean by that? Are you talking about study habits? Attitudes toward studying? Do you think your scale is reliable? Do you think your scale is valid? How would you test the reliability of your test? How would you assess the validity?
