Assuming you were using a 56Kbps dial-up modem to transfer your files to the student server, ANSWER THE QUESTIONS:

4a)How long would it take to send each of these? (theoretically, a 56Kbps modem will transfer 56,000 bits per second and there are 8 bits per byte).

4b)Do you see why compression is important? (Say more than just yes or no.)
