Comprehensive Prevention of a Chronic Disease

Instructions  Select a preventable chronic disease of your choice. Using epidemiological concepts, design a strategy for prevention using the levels of prevention introduced in this unit.  Organize your strategy into the following section headings:

o Target Disease

o Primordial Prevention

o Primary Prevention o Secondary Prevention

o Tertiary Prevention

 Examine each section providing an appropriate explanation and application to the disease.

Requirements  You need at least one paragraph for each section. The page-length should be at least two full pages, not including the title page or references.  In the discussion of secondary prevention, be sure to address screening measures.

 This paper must follow APA formatting and citation guidelines, including: o Title page and reference page o Essay should be double spaced o Font size 10 or 12  All references should come from peer-reviewed epidemiological literature.
