In Unit 3 (see attachement), we have discussed what it means to live a "good life" in our consumer-driven, constantly connected and globalized world. For this essay, please discuss and reflect on the opportunities and challenges to pursuing a good life in contemporary communication. Begin by defining key features/questions of happiness as discussed in class.(SEE ATTACHED PPT)

Then address opportunities and challenges to pursuing a good life through the lens of (a) consumerism, (b) technology use, and (c) civic engagement. For each case, summarize the main opportunities and challenges. Use at least five unique key terms to highlight what these opportunities and challenges are. (SEE ATTACHMENT) Finally, conclude with your reflections on how well you see yourself living a "good life" along these three dimensions. In doing so, be sure to both explain your position and consider counter-arguments to it. FOR ANY CONCEPT THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW SEE THE ATTACHMENT BELOW, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO USE ALL THE TERMS THAT FROM THE PPT.
