Chicano homework

Lalo Guerrero, is known as the father of Chicano Music. He has been regarded as a pioneer in this field and is credited for further influencing Chicano musicians/singers in their careers. What do you  believe it is about Lalo Guerrero that made his music so influential and relevant to the Chicano community? Furthermore, do you think it is accurate to call the genre he helped create Chicano music? Why or why not?
